Disclaimer: If you’re against smashing your head to some of punk’s most badass bands alongside a community of punks while the smell of Pabst Blue Ribbon then Gainsville Florida’s FEST isn’t for you. Better yet, you should come anyway so you can truly understand just how powerful FEST is.
This year we celebrated the event’s 17th birthday and with the headliners, Lagwagon Cursive, Get Up Kids, and another 400+ bands, this birthday was one to remember.
Some of our personal favorite sets of the fest included the colorful quartet, Masked Intruders, who stole our ears for a second to go on a joy ride, and New Orleans best punk band PEARS who suprised us with a secret show where they perfomed their Debut album Go To Prison from start to finish. (We may never see that again)
